FAQ’s

The answers to many of the questions that are commonly asked are published below. If you have a question that has not been answered, please visit our ‘Contact Us’ page.

Q: What time does the event start?

A: The event will start at 11:00am and finish at 4:30pm (approx.)

Q: Will there be further provisions made for car parking on the day?

A: Due to the high volume of people that we are expecting on the day, there will be extra car parking arranged for the event. More details about this can  found on the ‘Visiting Bourne’ page.

Q: Will there be a shuttle bus service available from some of the car parks that are not very close to the town centre?

A: There will be a park and ride service available on the day, courtesy of Delaine Buses. More details about the services that they will be offering will be available nearer the time of the event. The service will be free to people paying to use the car parks.

Q: I am disabled and have a blue badge. Will there be any disabled parking available?

A: The organisers have decided to arrange disabled parking for people with eligible blue badge parking passes. There are a limited number of spaces at the disabled car parks,  which will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that blue badges must be visible in order for admittance to be granted. Please visit back nearer to the event for more details about disabled parking. For more information on this, please contact us via the Contact Page.

Q: Will there be any viewing areas available for disabled people?

A: Yes, we have plans to make areas available, so that people who are users of wheelchairs and mobility scooters will be able to enjoy the event. These areas will be at the Bourne Bus Station (northern turnaround point) and also at Richardson’s Auction House on Abbey Road. Wheelchair viewing areas cannot be booked in advanced, and will be available for wheelchair users only on a first come first served basis. One person will be allowed to accompany the wheelchair user in the viewing area.

Q: Where will I be able to purchase food and drinks on the day?

A: To help support the local economy, we have asked many of the town’s food and drink retail outlets to be open on the day, so we recommend that you purchase refreshments from here.

Q: Will there be an event programme available to purchase?

A: Yes, and this will be priced at £5.00

Q: What charities will the event be supporting?

A: The event will be supporting two charities, the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, and the Bourne Outdoor Pool. For more information on both of these charities, please visit their websites via our ‘Useful Links’ page.
